Sewer Gas in Twr. 1 H Flat's Master Baths

Postby la999 » 2011 Jan 22 Sat, 8:15 am

Hello Neighbors,
Do any other H flats in tower 1 have a a problem with sewer gas smell in the master bathroom?
I researched the issue and learned that it is caused by try drain traps or faulty ventilation pipes.
I poured 2 gallons of water down the floor drain, but the sewer gas smell remains.
Before I call a plumber, I wanted to see if any fellow tower 1, H flat owners have a similar problem.
Thank you for your help.

I don't have it until the plumer unsit the toilet bowl to fix the ruptured water supply line last week. It is most likely caused by improper sealing around the back of the toilet bowl or the bowl was not sitted properly. Try to apply sealant around the back.... tough job, mission almost impossible unless you're really deterimined.
